Dr. Lillibridge is the Director of the Center for Biosecurity and Public Health Preparedness, TX A&M Health Science Center at Houston, and Assistant Dean and Director, Global Health and Security Program, Texas A&M Health Science Center, School of Rural Public Health.
Dr. Lillibridge also served as Special Assistant for national security and emergency management for then-HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson. He assisted in the development of a national bioterrorism program at HHS during a time when the nation was experiencing anthrax attacks in October 2001. Previously, he was the initial Director of the Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and was appointed to the Senior Advisory Committee for Homeland Security under the direction of Tom Ridge.
